Speedrain

Speedrain

Speedrain is a prefabricated vertical drainage polymer/geotextile composite subsoil drainage system (fin/curtain drain). The product is ideal for subsoil drainage applications, providing performance and economic benefits over granular drain alternatives. The product can be successfully used as structural drainage behind or within retaining walls and roof gardens/podium decks, as road/rail side drainage systems, as gas or leachate collection systems within landfill linings and cappings, as well as in domestic landscaping and dewatering applications.

Speedrain is available in two variants:

  • “Traditional“: comprising a 5mm wide, extruded 2-dimensional HDPE geonet drainage core (T-Drain) encased in a nonwoven geotextile (TemaTex) with allowance for the integrated perforated subsoil drainage pipe (T-Pipe).
  • “C10 40 10F“: is a New Generation development comprising a 10mm wide, extruded monofilament drainage core (Q-Drain) in a heat bonded nonwoven geotextile (TemaTex) jacket with allowance for the integrated perforated subsoil drainage pipe (T-Pipe).

“Traditional” is available in various standard heights up to 2m. The standard geotextile jacket is manufactured from a TemaTex NW2 Polyester (PET) nonwoven geotextile and can accommodate up to a 160mm ND perforated drainage pipe. Customised heights and geotextile types/grades are available to suit specific applications and soil conditions.

“C10 40 10F” is available in a standard prefabricated height of 1m and can accommodate up to a 220mm ND subsoil drainage pipe. The expanded width and high-void drainage core structure contributes to a higher flow rate whilst maintaining adequate compressive strength.

Both Speedrain systems are modular and can thus be expanded by adding additional modules adjacent to each other, seamlessly joining to achieve a larger drainage depth or area whilst ensuring unimpeded flow paths for quick extraction.
