V-Drain W

V-Drain W is a prefabricated narrow width vertical drainage composite (wick drain) for drainage of soft saturated soils or for use behind retaining/basement walls. The product comprises an extruded 2-dimensional HDPE geonet drainage core (T-Drain) encased in a nonwoven geotextile (TemaTex) sheath.

It is available in various standard widths up to 333mm. The standard geotextile sheath is manufactured from a TemaTex NW2 Polyester (PET) nonwoven geotextile. Customised widths and geotextile types/grades are available on special order to suit specific applications and soil conditions.

V-Drain W is also available, on request, in heavier grade versions with a corrugated solid sheet drainage core and stitch-sealed geotextile sheath for applications where the product may need to be driven down into the in-situ soil in order to dewater the area in foundational applications.
